In 1810, Heinrich Pünter was born in the village of Stäfa in Switzerland. He moved to Germany at a young age, then met and married Elizabeth Hohenbrunner of Bavaria. They eventually left Germany, in about 1848, and immigrated to Bureau County, Illinois, and started a family. Heinrich and Elizabeth are my great-great-grandparents on my Dad’s side. In 1819, Wilhelm Croisant was born in Edenkoben, Köenigreich, Germany. He eventually immigrated to Bureau County, Illinois, where he married and started a family. His daughter is my great-grandmother on my Dad’s side. In 1874, Abramo Filippini was born in the village of Stabiazzoni, Italy. In 1886, Annina Cecchini was born in the village of Case Pieli, Italy.. Both villages are in the Tuscany region. Abramo and Annina married and immigrated to the United States in 1908 and settled in Bureau County, Illinois. Abramo and Annina are my grandparents on my Mom’s side. It is from the above families that I am descended.

In addition, 1969, I married into the Flagge family of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1989, I married into the Rachal family of South Texas.

In 2002, I became interested in learning more about all these families, so I began a research project that has now lasted over 18 years. The result is the documentation found in the table of contents on this page.
