Welcome to my genealogy web page! I hope you will be amazed and excited about the families documented here.
If you are reading this web site, you are probably related to the above families in some way. If you are not related, then read on anyway. You may find our story interesting and typical. These stories may even persuade you do your own family research.
Below is a very brief overview to get you started:
In 1810, Heinrich Pünter was born in the village of Stäfa Switzerland. He moved to Germany at a young age, then met and married Elizabeth Hohenbrunner of Bavaria. They eventually left Germany in about 1848 and found their way to Bureau County, Illinois, and started a family. Heinrich and Elizabeth are my greatgreatgrandparents on my Dad's side.
In 1819, Wilhelm Croisant was born in Edenkoben, Koenigreich, Germany. He eventually found his way to Bureau County, Illinois, where he married and started a family. His daughter is my greatgrandmother on my Dad's side.
In 1874, Abramo Filippini was born in the village of Stabiazzoni, Italy. In 1886, Annina Cecchini was born in the village of Case Pieli, Italy. Abramo and Annina married and immigrated to the United States in 1908 and settled in Bureau County, Illinois. Abramo and Annina are my grandparents on my Mom's side.
It is from the above families that I am descended.
In 1969, I married into the Flagge family of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1989, I married into the Rachal family of South Texas.
In 2002, I became interested in learning more about these families, so I began a research project that has now lasted 7 years and counting. The result is the documentation found in the left margin of this page.
